The Board is constituted by the following ten (10) members.
A chairman appointed by the President.
The Assistant Director of Public Instruction, In-charge of Madrasah Education, ex-officio.
The Director of Technical Education, or an officer, not below the rank of Assistant Director of Technical Education, nominated by him.
One person nominated by the Government from amongst the Chairman of the Boards of Intermediate and Secondary education in Bangladesh
One person nominated by the Government from amongst the Heads of the departments of Arabic and Islamic studies of the Universities in Bangladesh.
One person nominated by the Government from amongst the Heads of the departments of Arabic and Islamic studies of the Universities in Bangladesh.
One Principal of a Government Madrasah nominated by the Government
Two Principals of non-government Madrasahs nominated by the Government.
Two Superintendents of non-government Madrasahs nominated by the Government.
One Inspecting Officer nominated by the Government.
Two persons specially devoted to the cause of Madrasah education appointed by the President.
Activities of Board:
Madrasah Education Board approved the permission/recognition/renewal of Dakhil (S.S.C level) Alim (H.S.C level) according the rules of Govt. All the educational activities of both Fazil and Kamil are conducted by the Madrasah Education Board up to 2006.
The registration and admission of Dakhil, Alim, Fazil and kamil (Fazil and Kamil till the session 2005-2006) are conducted by Madrasah Education Board. 3. The examination of Dakhil, Alim, Fazil & Kamil along with the scholarship exam of Ibtadayee (Class five level) & Dakhil-V111 (Class eight level) are held under this Board. Moreover the publication of result and certificates are issued.

The committee of non-Govt. Madrasha’s are also approved by the Madrasah education Board.
The text books syllabus and lesson plan are also approved by Madrasah Education Board.
The Madrasah Education Board bears the expense Cost of boys scout, Rover Scout, Girls Guide and sports.
Software development has started its function with a view to implement of e-Governance application of Board activities.
In house training has been arranged for the computer training of the officers & employees of Madrasah Education Board.
