The Board is constituted by the following ten (10) members.

1. A chairman appointed by the President.
2. The Assistant Director of Public Instruction, In-charge of Madrasah Education, ex-officio.
3. The Director of Technical Education, or an officer, not below the rank of Assistant Director of Technical Education, nominated by him.
4. One person nominated by the Government from amongst the Chairman of the Boards of Intermediate and Secondary education in Bangladesh
5. One person nominated by the Government from amongst the Heads of the departments of Arabic and Islamic studies of the Universities in Bangladesh.
6. One person nominated by the Government from amongst the Heads of the departments of Arabic and Islamic studies of the Universities in Bangladesh.
7. One Principal of a Government Madrasah nominated by the Government
8. Two Principals of non-government Madrasahs nominated by the Government.
9. Two Superintendents of non-government Madrasahs nominated by the Government.
10. One Inspecting Officer nominated by the Government.
11. Two persons specially devoted to the cause of Madrasah education appointed by the President.
